Our story
DailyKnown began with a simple idea from our founder, Pritam Barman: make business and finance news more useful. In a world of fast headlines and fragmented sources, we focus on synthesis and service journalism—what happened, why it matters, and what to watch next.

Trust is our most important asset. We adhere to widely recognized journalism ethics and best practices.

- Primary sources first: regulatory filings, official statements, government data, company reports, earnings calls, and on-the-record interviews
- Secondary sources: reputable news outlets, research institutions, and industry experts (always cited with links)
- Fact-checking
- Verify key facts with at least two reliable sources when possible
- Data, charts, and quotes are checked before publication; sources are attributed in captions or at the end of the article
- Clarity and context
- We prioritize plain language and explain terms readers might not know
- We provide context, caveats, and known limitations of data
- Labelling
- News, analysis, opinion, and sponsored content (if any) are clearly labeled
- Use of AI tools
- We may use AI tools for research support, idea organization, or copy edits
- No article is published without human editorial oversight and fact-checking

We correct errors promptly and transparently.
- If a material error is found, we update the article and add a “Correction” or “Update” note with the date and what changed
- Minor edits (typos/grammar) may be made without an explicit note
